It is by God's grace we can turn away form sin and serve God and love others.

Just like the lady celebrates over her lost coin being found, there is great joy in heaven when someone surrenders to Christ. We need God and we can do nothing good outside of Him. We are called to be ambassadors for love and to give grace to those around us because we have been given grace in our deepest sin. God calls us to have total dependency on Him and to lead those around us to the truth of Christ.

God never changes but, He uses us in different ways. God gifts us with unique abilities and talents to bring Him glory and to point others to Christ. God has extended grace to us and now we extend that grace to others through the gifts He has given us.
If you are a Christ follower, you have a gift and a responsibility to serve with that gift. If you do not use the gift you have been given, you will not be filled with the full joy that is made known in our pursuit of Jesus. Practicing your spiritual gifts unifies the body and makes you flourish in the grace and knowledge of Christ.

A good shepherd will leave his flock in the field to go and search for and rescue his lost sheep and bring him back again. Jesus is our Shepherd and will rescue our hearts and draw close to us. He gives an invitation for us to trust Him with everything and be a part of His flock. When we stray away, He is there.
Jesus is waiting. If you do not allow Him to be your good Shepherd, you will miss Him.

Jesus calls us to live a life worthy of our calling, regardless of our circumstances. We are called to be like Christ and to make every effort to be the light of the world. Paul reminds us, time after time, we are one body and we are living for the purpose of bringing glory to God.
When we follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit and walk with Him, resting in Him knowing we are in the will of God will be our peace.

Believing the message of Christ is what changes our hearts. It draws us to a deeper understanding of who we are without Him. As the Holy Spirit reveals to us we need Jesus, we see who we are in light of who He is. We can be rescued from our sin when we place our faith in Christ alone; He is the only way to God. The Holy Spirit reveals what needs to change in our lives once we fully surrender to Him.

If you are being obedient to Christ, do not ever question if what you are doing matters. It all matters and we give God all the glory for everything. Realizing we need to take our eyes off ourselves and see the bigger picture can be difficult; on the backside of that realization will come change that is crucial for spiritual growth and a deeper reliance on Christ.

No one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law. As Paul states to Peter, "A person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ...". We are not tied to the law once we give our lives up to follow Christ; we are receivers of His grace and live for Him.

As believers, we sometimes forget we were outsiders before Christ ruled our hearts. We lived in the world without God and without hope. Oftentimes, we overlook people who are not "like" us. Jesus taught us it is the heart that matters, not the outward appearance. When we are working together as one body and Christ as the Cornerstone, we are able to see that we are all pushing toward one purpose.
Pride is at the root of all sin. The closer we get to Christ, the more humble we will become. The Holy Spirit will lead and show us things within us that we need to repent of and reshape our desires to be what God desires for us.

Paul teaches we are saved by faith in Christ alone. The absolute truth of how to get to God is through faith in Jesus; He is the only way. Christ calls His followers not to be self serving, but to be outwardly focused, loving and meeting the needs of those around us, in His name. The same call is placed on God's people today. Pursuing a life after Christ compels action and will produce fruit from the obedience of a life laid down to Him. Above all else, approval from God is what followers of Jesus must desire, not that of other people.
